# Drama Prompts Each of these milestones prompts a player to add or interact with the story in interesting ways. Players are not expected to use every prompt they draw. **Reveal a Secret** > Share information that changes how another character understands you or the situation. **Make a Promise** > Commit yourself to a course of action that is likely to create future problems or sacrifices. **Break a Promise** > Choose to betray a previous commitment in order to solve a more pressing problem. **Ask for Help** > Rely on another character to accomplish something you could not, or would not, do alone. **Offer Help** > Take initiative to solve someone else's problem, even if it costs you time, effort, or resources. **Teach Someone** > Share knowledge, a skill, or an important lesson that improves their understanding. **Learn Something** > Allow another character to change your understanding of the world, the mission, or yourself. **Change Someone's Mind** > Present an argument or evidence that causes another character to genuinely rethink a decision or belief. **Admit a Mistake** > Openly acknowledge a meaningful mistake instead of hiding or excusing it. **Accept a Cost** > Give up an opportunity, possession, relationship, or advantage to achieve another goal. **Create an Ally** > Build a relationship that creates a new ally for yourself or the group. **Create an Enemy** > Leave another character with a personal grudge or conflicting objective. **Solve It Peacefully** > Find another solution when fighting would have been the easier choice. **Create a New Problem** > Accept a new flawed situation instead of finding a working solution. **Protect Someone** > Accept meaningful personal risk to keep someone else safe. **Trust Someone** > Share responsibility, information, or a valuable possession that could be abused or lost. **Face Your Past** > Reveal a person, place, event, or obligation from your past that now affects the adventure. **Take Responsibility** > Convince others that you made a mistake, regardless of whether it was entirely your fault. **Volunteer First** > Choose to take on the greatest immediate risk instead of waiting for someone else. **Surprise the Party** > Take an action that meaningfully challenges the group's assumptions about your character. **Tell a Lie** > Deliberately deceive another character in order to achieve a meaningful goal. **Tell the Truth** > Reveal a truth even though keeping it secret would have been easier or safer. **Keep a Secret** > Successfully prevent important information from becoming known. **Share the Spotlight** > Create an opportunity for another adventurer to succeed instead of taking it yourself. **Take the Lead** > Be the first to propose or commit to a risky course of action. **Follow Someone Else** > Set aside your own preferred solution and support another adventurer's plan. **Stand Your Ground** > Refuse to back down from a meaningful disagreement despite pressure. **Change Your Mind** > Publicly abandon one of your own plans or beliefs after hearing another perspective. **Inspire Someone** > Motivate another character to attempt something they would otherwise avoid. **Calm Someone** > De-escalate another character's fear, anger, or panic. **Earn Forgiveness** > Repair a damaged relationship through your actions rather than your words. **Forgive Someone** > Let go of a justified grievance in order to move forward. **Take the Blame** > Accept negative consequences to protect someone else's reputation. **Accept Forgiveness** > Admit fault and allow someone else to forgive you. **Refuse an Easy Solution** > Reject an obvious shortcut because it conflicts with your values or goals. **Seize an Opportunity** > Act immediately when an unexpected opportunity appears. **Make a Discovery** > Learn something that changes the party's understanding of the current quest. **Connect the Dots** > Combine separate clues into a useful conclusion or plan. **Recover from Failure** > Turn one of your own setbacks into a meaningful advantage. **Adapt Your Plan** > Abandon your original approach and succeed using a different one. **Take a Risk** > Choose an option that is clearly more dangerous than the available alternatives. **Show Mercy** > Spare someone who deserves punishment. **Demand Justice** > Insist that someone be held accountable for their actions. **Defuse a Conflict** > Prevent two characters from coming to violence. **Escalate a Conflict** > Intentionally make a disagreement worse because you believe it will lead to a better outcome. **Break the Rules** > Violate an established law, order, or expectation to accomplish something important. **Uphold the Rules** > Follow an important rule even though breaking it would be easier. **Earn Respect** > Impress another character through your actions rather than your words. **Challenge Authority** > Publicly question or oppose someone with power over the situation. **Change the Situation** > Permanently alter the current situation in a way that creates new opportunities or problems. **Take Something on Faith** > Commit to an action despite lacking convincing evidence that it will work. **Keep Everyone Together** > Prevent the party from splitting up during a disagreement. **Accept Defeat** > Voluntarily concede instead of continuing a losing struggle. **Finish What You Started** > Complete a task that another character expected you to abandon. **Leave
